Thank you for the comments, Vokaris. :) {I know you won't be able to read this comment until this anon contest is over :(} ...The bars are meant to be unequal in thickness, as the vertical stripes are. Perhaps I should have made them even more unequal.

...and for the constraints of file size and my own sanity, I had to cut the bouncing short. But you're absolutely right. It's a rather improbable last/first bounce, based on the other ricocheted angles.

All right, TWO suggestions (as of 10pm ET, 7/11/07) to label it "GIF" in the title... will keep that in mind! ....next time. (Bit late now.) but I'm very pleased (and flattered) with how well this did anyway. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! :D

Thanks again, everyone! Sliver: nope! Only PS CS3. Select area of b/g, copy/paste, reselect, move marque appropriate distance for next frame, copy/paste, etc... then "bloat" each for count of 10... plus layer effects: emboss, gradient, drop shadow.

I wanted more shine, so duplicated each layer twice, with fill set to 0%, and did two more areas of layer effect: gradient (one per additional layer). So each frame is 3 layers. No other program used, not even ImageReady. :)
