You should have usd a displacment map on that checkered pattern it work so much better...

I was going to, but for 2 reasons I didn't Marx, 1) I like doing things as manually as possible, thus to learn & feel I have worked at it....

and 2) I didn't want the pattern to match up at the seams, as most patterned furniture doesn't as pieces are sew separately. I edited each square separately to slightly be look like it was moulded across the leather shape

thanks for the opinion Nick, I wanted the shines on the couch as I wanted the couch to still be leather/pvc, as I was doing a redecoration, not a wall texture to couch switch, so wanted the shine to remain prominent :oP cheers

you should sould share some tips on how you did this... for mine I didn't use any tuts and did my best at figuring it out myself, but now that I have attemted it, a tut or some pointers would be awsome...
