I liked the curtain as an object to separate foreground and middle ground, it also created more privacy. I think it was as Michel pointed out, too sharp.

I would add that curtain was too sharp and perhaps out of proportion. But I agree with tadams that it did bring something to the picture.

The intention of the curtain had been to add more depth by having a foreground, mddle and background. But removing it has brought the jar forward and made the light seem to fall directly on it. So I like it better like this. Hope you all do too.
