andy are you grumpy again... ok so the rain needs work i'll try and fix it but i only know one way to make it and it always winds up looking the same any ideas or tuts you guys can turn me on to?

from what I can tell, you make it with brushes. if you do, you can lower opacity. Or you can make new layer, fill blad, add noise and then motion blur. Then select color range to black, delete the black and there you go, rain :)

sorry, I explained that bad. Make new layer, fill with black. Then Filters-add noise (90% gaussian, monochronic) click ok. Then go to 'Select' and pick 'color range'. Chose black and delete all the black. Go to filter-blur-motion blur and play around :)

ok KB i made it w/ gradient wht to blk then filter render fibers did the motion blur and inlarged and rotate then dup layer and opacity but i'm not sure how to do what your offering as a suggestion i'll pm you in hopes of figuring it out ok ;)

hehe :) well, just put a new layer on top of everything. Fill with black, then go to filters-noise-add noise. (value 90%, gaussian and set monochronic) click ok. Now you got a field of dots in black/white. Go to 'Select - color range' and

with the color picker you pick Black. Set the range far enough so everything will be selected & press ok. Now your field's black is selected and you press delete to erase it. Then go to filters-blur-motion blur and play with the values until u like it.
