not an easy source to work with, as it was seemingly at a low res. You have matched the tonal properties well with your choice of externals K, the flies could be cleaner after clicking it big. but overall I like the look of the idea

I agree with the fly assessment. I think if you do a defringe on them, that should take care of the cleanup. Go Layer>Matting>Defringe 1 or 2 px should do the trick. cheers!

Good integration on the tomato. The distance of the waterdrops shadow to big and maybe tone done the fork. The light on it is sharper than on the tomato ;)

I wonder what waits inside the tomato. Lighting on fork is way too bright for the scene. Fly shadows are too crisp for the scene lighting.
