I'm shocked you a) never noticed this before now... b) you were unaware of the reasons behind the 'phenomenon'... If you really didnt know..it's because a mega-low compression ratio that is comparable to using a 30% quality setting in PS is applied.

the face is a personal preference I guess, but it looks too sharp and forced. The white edging is all over the lower chains especially, which look odd as they suggest lighting from below.

The reflection should show the side of the watch face as it rest on the surface, yet the reflection is away from the surface suggesting the watch is slightly floating. Being held off the surface by an invisable heavy weight on the reverse side perhaps ;o)

The underside of the chain need to lose some highlights as the shadow looks like an after thought because the chains undersides are not meeting the shadow in tonal look, they act like they are shining brightly from all angles near enough
