a bit too transparent on the head and wings but very nice

needs a bit more work and selection layers I think as the head is getting lost, but a great attempt at something that is not that easy to do, nice one Mir

Nice work, Mir, but I think the dark edges and highlights on the bird should be intensified to give it a more substantial feel. Perhaps add a multiply layer, then erase with a soft brush? The pedestal looks fine.

Abe, I wanted to keep it transparent to keep it looking like glass, otherwise it was loosing it's translucency. I did play with it for a long time. Thanks for your comment.

I'd love you to tell me more about that, Marco, I like to learn as much as I can with each entry. If you have time I would be grateful for a pm. or here if you like.

Edges are better! Now the sculpture jumps out! Wing on right would probably distort background more...
abraham abraham
nice update, very big improvement on the head, I agree with seelcraft, you should also do that on the tip of the right wing. I know glass effect is hard to make and this decerves more votes. Good job Mir.

Thank you all for your suggestions, this has been a great learning experience.
