Intresting take on the inside outside contrast and brightness look of your post, it works because it looks as if a camera shot the pic. The human eye would have seen and dialated down to see the outside as normal leaving the forground subject to be mostly in shadow...a more natural look..but not one to entice votes from photoshoppers who love to have control...excellent.

i quite like this but I'm slightly confused as to whats going on with the horse.. he seems a bit white but his head is brown ? Also I think the horse and the cowboy standing with it should have a shadow in the same direction as the shack but the shacks sh

You've never seen a horse with spots? The bright look and faded shadows is all part of the way the picture feels...like voter #3 said. I did change the shadows a bit at your suggestion though ; )
