ya that's true about the edges. I wasn't sure what to do about that problem.

what i do to avoid the "halos" round the edges is, contract by 1 pixel after i have drawn the selection. that usually assures a better cut out. hope that helps. and i do like the idea btw ... reminds me of the daltons ;)
