Hal, great job. shadows are tricky, highlights are tricky, and the combination of both is even more tricky. If I may, according to your highlights, your light source is coming from somewhere near the player's point of view. Your shadows should therefore be on the other side of the coins. That's just how I see it. You've put in lots of work nonetheless. congrats.

holly, i agree, I was undecided for that issue and I decided to use the original source part. hmm, yes i would look better... maybe it is just lazyness

very clever and pretty good execution...there's just a very small shadow problem. The middle stack of the middle row seems to have a horizontal shadow across it but nothing around it would be casting it. Also, you may want to lighten up the shadow between

ok, I updated this post considering Holly's observation. For those who don't understand what was the issue: in previous version I placed the entire cilynder from the source as a coin stock which was realy artificial, now I just make separate coins. Thanks
