I know exactly how you feel my friend! About 5 or 6 years ago I also had an emergency appendectomy! Except I had other problems as well.I had alreay been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis earlier the same year. While I was in surgery for the appendectomy they discovered that my Colitis had gotten progressively worse, to the point that I had to have my ENTIRE colon removed.I have been doing ok for the past few years until a few months ago.It seems that my colitis was still there, only now it's not colitis anymore. It's progressed to Chron's Disease, which is much worse.I have been undergoing treatments for it and am on several medications to try to control it. While I was in surgery having my colon removed,I (technically) died TWICE!! I lost about 60 pounds, which I have only gained about one third of it back. Hopefully they'll get me straightened out one of these days!
Sorry for the lengthy explanation and no I'm not looking for sympathy or trying to downplay your situation.Just wanted to let you know,I feel for ya bro!
