I know it's likely that nobody noticed my absence the last two days but I thought I'd let everyone know of my latest adventures with medical science.

On Monday I started having abdominal pain. It kept me up all night and I finally heeded my wife's pleas to go to the doctor on Tuesday. Good thing I listened to my wife's wisdom because I had to have an emergency appendectomy! Now I have to listen to my wife bragging about how she saved my life ('cuz it's true).

Right now I'm in Vicodin land but still pretty sore. So if you don't see much of me posting over the next couple days now you know why.

I'm hoping to get copies of the pictures they took inside me belly! That'll make for a good external in a chop eh?

No you went the extra mile and a half with the whole rupture and heart defib. Mine was just to the point of being ready to burst.

My wife says she would have kicked my ass if I'd let it go to that point.

I know exactly how you feel my friend! About 5 or 6 years ago I also had an emergency appendectomy! Except I had other problems as well.I had alreay been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis earlier the same year.While I was in surgery for the appendectomy they discovered that my Colitis had gotten progressively worse, to the point that I had to have my ENTIRE colon removed.I have been doing ok for the past few years until a few months ago.It seems that my colitis was still there, only now it's not colitis anymore.It's progressed to Chron's Disease, which is much worse.I have been undergoing treatments for it and am on several medications to try to control it. While I was in surgery having my colon removed,I (technically) died TWICE!! I lost about 60 pounds, which I have only gained about one third of it back. Hopefully they'll get me straightened out one of these days!

Sorry for the lengthy explanation and no I'm not looking for sympathy or trying to downplay your situation.Just wanted to let you know,I feel for ya bro!

you will be recovered in a relatively short period of time. I also
had an emergency appendectomy many years ago. Seems like I was almost as good as new in ten days.
