My entry for the Mount Greylock Memorial contest wont upload. It is within the specs i'm almost 100% positive.

I would try jpeg, but I need a gif for the effect I'm trying to achieve.

A: In most contests images must be a JPEG or a GIF file. The size of the file must be under 125kb in actual size. JPEG image dimensions must be less than 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high. Animated GIFs must be less than 550 wide by 450 high. If you are getting an error message, try reducing the file size and/or dimensions just a bit and then uploading again

Lol. Well the error page was what threw me off. It only says the size requirements for jpeg images. It wasn't until I went back to the upload page for about the sixth time that I realized what I was doing wrong.

Is the GIF size bigger in the advantage membership? And if so, is it the same as the jpeg or smaller?

For members the image size for the jpeg is 1280wx960h
gifs for members no smaller then 500wx350h no larger then 550wx450h 512k file size

remember kids, if you .gif is not the exact dymentions to fit on site, place the .gif on a plain white/black background, 550 wide by 450 high, put your tiny .gif on that, it will work
