I had a similar idea...it was a tough choice for me. The other entry is one of the better cleanup jobs this round. This entry just looks more grim, I think its the scratches on the wood and blood handprint that win my vote for me. Its the finer details that makes this one better.

The crime scene is a more interesting theme, and has some good clean up work, but the blood pool is weak. I have to go with the strong clean up and reconstruction in this entry.
