I like dark images; I like the mood or emotion they can often project and the effect of blending into a dark screen. I also prefer dark backgrounds for displaying images. On my HD monitor this image is really cool... I had to do a test drive. :) But when playing in a contest, be aware of the environments folk will use to evaluate your image. On typical work PCs (where some voters may be viewing it) this image is barely visible. And then there is the contrast of the PSC white page (which takes away some emotion here). Of course you have to weigh those considerations against your own motivations. I like the image and I appreciate that you risked choosing this style. Good luck!
