The other is very clean and looks great, but the source usage is a bit to subtle (wall in back is nice touch though). This one is just utter chopping brilliance, with insane, crisp detail work. You really just need to sit and stare at it to understand how much love and care was put into it.

This is one of those epic matchups that really could be 2 of the best choppers in the field going head to head early in the contest. . . I think the other is really cool and artistic. But for me in a contest like this, this one stays more true to the source and the execution is unequaled. Nice job to the victor and congrats to both of you for making it this far.

There is something compelling about the other entry and the detail of the wings is nice: the angle of the door slats seems off, however; I'd also hope that the brown bindings is derived from the source. Here, I like the aged door and new alley creation; without colour, it looks prison-bleak. The rat's escape is assured!
