This is great. I have no idea what the story/idea is in the other entry so my vote goes here.

The other: I see the obvious source usage parts (pot, plates) and those are well done. It looks like the source might have somehow been used to make the characters, but if so, it's not apparent enough.
For this one: very nice, high detail treatment to the source. The grass in the streets might be a few notches too transparent and the lava could use a bit smoother transition into the trees, perhaps with more visible fires and a few more smoke plumes (those were a nice touch though). Loving the sun burst and warm feel of the image.

i loved the idea of turning the windows to eyes and the plant to spinach but i think this one has a lot of minor details that really work well and the overall composition is stronger IMO. good luck to you both two great choppers

I really like the work here. The tiger doesn't feel like it's in the right spot. The other entry is also very imaginative but the eyes don't fit the work done on the characters.

Beautiful work! The tree knockout seems a little harsh.

I can appreciate the humor and the effort made in the other image. Maybe there is a ton of source usage but it is hard to see, wish the original and the finished work was displayed side by side. I think the bright sun may be a bit overdone and overwhelming here but I love the work on the foliage and the vines on the wall. Nice work!

The other entry is very cool looking but I like the overall composition here and the fact that you can see more of the source.

This great, truly modified source, the other one only 'sort of' uses the source.

I love the detail in the glasses and the two twins. Funny stuff! This one, however, gets my vote.

Really a tough choice for me! Don't care for the twins in the other, but love the idea and thought in it. Both are awesome and you guys should be proud of your work.

Very difficult choice here, i like the cartoon quality and story in the other, but the realism and amount of detail on this stands out more for me.
Well done to both for great entries :)

Better use of source! Not so creative but cool details added, great integrations, nice atmosphere. Lot of work and well done! The other one is very creative and very funny, but I don't feel enough respect of the source. It is an illustration with a little bit of textures from the source. I can compare this image to Abraham's 6th round image or Jordan's 4th round image. I'm not crazy of those kind of ideas or chops... I like to see some more concrete details from the source... not only textures but also some shapes. And I think it was a very ambitious idea... I mean by that the characters & their facial expressions are very interesting but I feel it incomplete... this kind of work ask a big effort, this image needs few more hours to work on the details. Congrats to both of you! :-)
