geez thanks for that Crowned.. I was going for magical here, not realism and I don't think it looks that flat. Using ONLY elements from source sometimes can be difficult.

I still don't get what you're on about though... again I used what was available to me. I tried my best to give the wheels depth using only the melon. I thought they looked good.

The wheels are fine by my book. It's the interior that has really set me off. There seems to be this very slight drop shadow under the windows/door that tricks my eyes into seeing it as flat. If it also maybe had more darkness or definition

there is another detail that makes the image look flat: the leaves. They make the chariot like falling towards the viewer. By doing so, they take away the depth of the spheric shape of the watermelon.
