cheers Eragon, all in the mindanyway, it is but a colour and some PS twiddlings :oP
marcoballistic
yeah Twk it required quite a wrestling match with the externals and blood work to fit the very interesting source depth, great challenge

Don't mistake "impact" for shock value. Shock value is easy. Impact makes you think.

fair enough BC, good point, I do what I do, in this case I feel it does make you think, if you allow yourself to think. Betrayal of what... I have a backstory for it, like most of my work, but its the image that must do the talking here.

All and every opinion welcomed :o)

Since yer talking about it, the whole focus thing--I have never seen so many ranges of focus ever. Three focus depths plus focus by left/right postitons?

nancers
I wonder why you would post something in the first place if you felt you had to tag an apology on it, knowing it would probably offend someone?
marcoballistic
only beacause of past experience Nance, for my actual work I offer no apology, as I obviously am fine with it :o)

I dont see the problem with the image, violence is in every thing we see now days, it's just the perspective and the way its displayed. If the image was more slapstick but just as bloody Im sure the responses would be different.
blue_lurker
Yep its very graphic and could be considered a violent crime, but in reality we all know it's am image, manipulated with PS to create some thing different...it's not real and you dont have to look at it. Why have I commented and not voted...

well I know marco and I know he can do better in regards to focus, (As Mr shade has pointed out), and the depth is a little funky. But I will defend his right to post the image. My 2 cents...well ok $1 worth

ScionShade
Really, who cares about the violence. I just don't want these multiple areas of focus to catch on. We could be facing a real crisis hear people.

ok the focus range matches theoriginal 3 focal depth source with the middle distance as the in focus part, i.e where the blood is flowing o the right lower, hand is close to camera, thus more out of focus, and main body again set to same source focus...
marcoballistic
as for the left and right focus/out of focus, I have set no such focal depth, so not sure what your meaning Joe & Blue... but thanks for the opinions of course :oP
blue_lurker
Yeah I see what you mean Marco, but to my eye...there are three different focal points the face, hand and the blood trail...the sharp area of the blood makes the other to points look out of range with the depth of the image. I am aware of the original
blue_lurker
focal points of the image, but once you added the externals you change the view of the image. It may be a case of realistic not look real to the eye...thats my perseption...then what would I know mate I still cant use my tablet yet...lol
marcoballistic
but there are 3 points of focal range Blue
