Regarding the title of this image: this post was going to be something COMPLETELY different, but then I remembered this was a family-oriented site. So, instead, the wee rocket ships PASSED the Fungus, and not the other way around... ;)

The fake depth of field is a total mishmash, the big version is giving me headaches. If the DOF is so strong that the Artifact is blurred in front and in the back, then the planet and the stars would be completely blurred.

The same DOF would apply to the rockets - it seems like the big rocket is passing in a plane in front of the artifact, so it would be blurred

Rein - on another note, I have to side with vokaris about the DOF. I don't buy into your Hubble babble. It is an obvious case of moisture building up in your BIG lens. Note - it would help balance the realism if you added a peeping frog behind the ship.
