Wow, very good. Nice to see someone experimenting with the technique. If you still have the flat reflections on separate layers, you could create separate dmaps with a gradual reduction in contrast in each to reduce the distortion close to the surface...

Thanks again Aliased. I know many ways to create water ripples like that but yours had the best outcome of any that I have seen. Azionite, bite your tongue!!! I HATE the flood filter. O.K....I'm better now.:0)

rey, I love this. my only suggestion would be to make the dog completely white and give it the black circle around the eye like the real 'our gang' dog... maybe stymie's hat floating by too
