I believe reflection has to do with the angle of the light and the surface but not the depth of the water? Mirrors, glossy paint on cars, windows, none are physically deep but they reflect.

Rockwell has always been a big part of my life. He was always one of my favorites. There is a rockwell museum close to me. I could spend all day there.

Tofu: visibility of creek bottoms has a lot to do with reflections. when a polarizing filter on a camera decreases reflections you can see the bottoms of creeks,etc.
