Both good efforts. The other entry has grainy background that conflicts a bit with the cup. The clean up and reconstruction here is good, but the ellipse of the cup rim needs some work. The clean up wins.

The shadow of the cup of the original was odd. I think you tried to replicate it, but looks a little odd at the top. Maybe that's what it would have looked like. Anyway, I prefer this one slightly over the other.
