How did you get your PSC nickname?
My first inittial & last Name

What is your real name and age?
Tim, 55

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
From the Motor City. Left for warmer climate in Florida.

What do you do to keep the bills paid?
I do web design, broker printing, ad design and sell roofs part time.

What do you do in your spare time?
Fishing, crabbing, PSC

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
My brother introduced me to the site. I was impressed, and still am with the ingenuity of members to come up with new visions everyday.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?
I would make the forum posts show the date it was first posted on the home page.

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
Haven't had much time lately.

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?

What tools do you use to chop?
Photoshop CS3

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
For me, I am not a designer. I just try to see something interesting in the source.

What inspires you?

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
I used to be very messy. The more you chop the neater you become. It makes changing layers easier if they are named and grouped.

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
Photo real

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
I use everything I know how to use. Learning more each day.

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
I never get it just right.

What is the limit to what you will chop?
I won't blaspheme

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
Double the size of the source, work on it, then size it to load.

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
Gifs are funny, all source choppers are usually very good . I need to use externals because I can't create them.

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
Google Images

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
Humor, originality, clean work

Do you have a system to get things started?
not really

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
I started chops that ended up horific, then started over and loaded something else. Some ideas I can't pull off.

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
just post it

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
I change it when I have time if I feel the suggestion is a good one

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
Humor, originality, clean work

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
Try to keep chops under 2 hours and under 1 mostly, but sometimes I get carried away.

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
Couple times a day

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?

What do you consider your best chop so far?

What do you consider your worst chop so far?

Who is your favorite chopper out there and why?
Jerry717, he introduced me to this site when he was a participant. He may not have been one of the most favourite choppers for his style but professionally I can tell you he was one of the best retouchers in the ad game!

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
Type. I have used it, but prefer images with no text unless it is changing words already present in the source.

What is the best chop of all time?
today it's:

Do you have any other PSC related comments to add?
I really appreciate the camaraderie and technical advise I have gotten here. With out joining PSC I would not be able to do some of the work required by the clients I have gained since joining.
