How did you get your PSC nickname?
netwel is derived form netwel at hetnetniet dot nl, my email adress and a dutch rhyming pun. Netwel meaning just right, tiddy, neat, forever smiling nice looking bloke

What is your real name and age?
Dunno

Where are you from and what do you like best about being there?
I live in Eindhoven de Gekste, Netherlands. It's great to be here because I live here. Besides that Eindhoven is the most innovative town in the country, there's a lot going on concerning design and art.

What do you do to keep the bills paid?
Untill now I've been doing lots of stuff i didn't like. I'm trying to find a satisfying occupation, professional chopping, webdesign, that sort of thing.

What do you do in your spare time?
Chopping, design sites, juggling, unicycling, running.

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
My brother pointed the site out to me, since then I'm a regular.

If you could change one thing at PSC, what would it be and why?

Is there any other information about you would like to pass on?
blabla

How many hours per week do you spend on PSC?
Differs from time tot time, depends on my moods, motivation, inspiration.

What other sites, not Photoshop related, do you like to surf?
Circusplanet.net, flashfocus.nl

What tools do you use to chop?
win xp, ps, apophysis, poser, teragen, scans, wacom

What gets your creative juices flowing, how do you create a masterpiece?
It just does 'click', or it doesn't

What inspires you?
Looking at other chops, digital arts in general, urban street art, humor

Do you have a system? Does a chop have to be done a certain way following steps or are you a messy chopper and just go with the flow?
Start by playing around with the source, look if I can see something inspiring.

What style of chop do you prefer to create?
I like all sources, and funny stuff. I think funny stuff is the coolest, I love to make people happy.

Filters, brushes and techniques: Which do you use, and not use, and why?
Mask, adjustment layers, channels, paths, all the general mish-mash. Don't use brushes very often, I really want to do more with them.

When do you know that you have it just right, or is it constant changes up until, or after, you post?
Since I'm on advantage I spend more (too much) time finetuning, I strive too much for perfection. I seldom alter a chop after submission. I loved the nonadvantage rush and hurry style of chopping.

What is the limit to what you will chop?
no hard edged limits to chops, I do censor my submissions severly though. I try to be friendly and humorous in my chops.

Are there any tips and/or tricks that you would like to pass along to less experienced choppers?
learn the pentool

What is your favorite type of source image, and why?
I love signs.

There is often talk about how the source is used and to what extent it should be. What are your views on all sources, outside source use and animations?
Love the all sources. Don't realy like animation, it's hard to pull of and still quallity sucks.

What is your preferred resource for outside source images?
google, I often browse google for reference and then decide to draw my own 'external' in ps. flickr. deviantart for inspiration.

In your opinion what makes a good chop?
skill and humor, authenticity

Do you have a system to get things started?
not really, sometimes I start by breaking the source down, flip it, transform it, etc. the other time I have a clear image in my mind that I just straight go for

Have you ever completed a chop and then decided not to enter it in the contest? If so, why?
terribly often, Mostly it's either too sloppy chopped but sometimes it's too offensive.

After you finish your chop do you just post it or seek opinions of family and/or fellow choppers first?
Most of the time I just post. If I seek opinion I ask my family.

If some one finds a fault in your work do you change it or stay with what you posted?
Not quite often, but I do sometimes have an update. I love criticism, because that's enabling one to learn

What qualities do you look for when deciding to vote on a chop?
crispness, skill, humor, suggestiveness, authenticity

Some member prefer not to vote for filtered chops or animations. Is there any particular style/type of chop you won't vote for?
I do not very often vote for gifs.

Time is always a factor, how much time do you spend on a chop and how much time is too much?
Since I'm on advantage I can easily spend up to 10 hours on a chop.

We all love to get votes. Now are you a constant vote checker or do you just let it go and check once a day? (be honest)
When I have an entire which is doing quite good in the contest i do indeed check every hour or so, well that is if I'm able to.

What chop of yours did not do as well as you expected?
lots

What do you consider your best chop so far?
Im really proud of http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/128892/display.html It just turned out exactly like what I had in mind when I started. It's over 260 layers of vectors and more than 30 hours of work.

What do you consider your worst chop so far?
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/111322/eucharist.html

Who is your favorite chopper out there and why?
Lots of them, If I had to pic one I think it would be Deshone

What do you NOT like to see in a chop, and why not?
I don't like to see cut n paste of other peoples art. I do appreciate copycats though if it's extremely well copied or chopped in some way. In http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/69405/display.html I used someone else's artwork, cutnpaste style. Now I feel this is simply not done. I f I would have the same idea these days I would either redraw the image or just skip the idea.

What is the best chop of all time?
It's Claf's and it's pulled. No theeth.

Do you have any other PSC related comments to add?
Love it out here, thank you all!
