Post Thu Dec 29, 2005 6:09 pm How can I create an ICON?

ICO files store multiple images, so the PS plugin probably makes very basic icons. You want to have 16x16, 22x22, 32x32, 48x48, and maybe 64x64 for Windows icons, and have 256 color, 24 bit, and 32 bi ...

Post Thu Dec 29, 2005 5:42 pm How can I create an ICON?

I used to use [url=http://www.towofu.net/soft/e-aicon.php]@icon sushi. You do not want to save it as a BMP, because BMPs don't support alpha transparency(high color icons in XP do), and Windows is inc ...

Post Fri Dec 16, 2005 12:14 am I'm sort of back

All done. Is it really necessary to title everything? Lots of my stuff is now titled "blah." I will be entering in a contest tomorrow if I'm not busy. Then you get to be blown away by the (lack?) of s ...

Post Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:14 pm I'm sort of back

I'm kind of sort of back. My old pictures are still on my web server, but in what I call an extorsion attempt, no-ip.com moved *.no-ip.com domains over to the pay service and expired my domain on me. ...

Oops. Not 1PM today, 1PM tomorrow. How did I think it was two days in the future?

Post Thu Apr 28, 2005 2:26 am * H2H Support Group *

It is a good thing I checked the tournament page today. I was waiting for an E-mail telling me that H2H had started, because it had sent me an E-mail to tell me that there would be a tournament. I pos ...

Post Tue Mar 29, 2005 10:55 pm Windows or Mac?

Macs are still better than PCs. Windows NT is not based on DOS, but it is designed to be compatible with Windows 9x programs. Running programs that use those calls can still cause the same problem. My ...

Post Sat Mar 26, 2005 7:06 pm Windows or Mac?

Windows crashes aren't all because of the hardware. I have a theory that part of it is Microsoft's determination to hold on to old software. Windows was originaly built on DOS, and could run DOS progr ...

For some reason, sometimes I am already logged in, and sometimes I am not, but clicking log in does not request a user name or password, but automatically logs me in.

The GIMP crashes a lot more under Windows than it does under Linux or Macintosh, therefore, Windows is the worst of the 3 for using the GIMP(which is better than photoshop *ducks*).

Post Wed Feb 16, 2005 1:07 am Windows or Mac?

You left out the "Anything but Windows" option. I use Macintosh on my Apple, and Linux on my AMD. Both are about equal at running the GIMP.

Post Sat Nov 13, 2004 5:54 am Use your alternate text!

The alt tag is for captions, like for the blind. The alt text was meant to be used if the image cannot be/is not shown to the user. Alt text is not supposed to do anything but tell people what they a ...

Use MPEG instead of JPEG and you can have sound, but Photoshop, GIMP, and PhotoshopContest.com do not support this format. Possibly embed a JPEG and and MP3 into a SWF, but that requires either some p ...
