I just went to update my bracket at bracketmaker, when I ran into some problems. Some of our matches didn't match. I know I had the first two rounds correct, but this third round is all screwed up.

What happened to Chrispis? She/he is listed as a winner of round 2, but doesn't show up in round 3. Azionite was defeated in round 2 by Hellraiser, but he's still in round 3. It's Anfa VS Chrispis, not Azionite. If Chrispis couldn't compete in that round for some reason, then Anfa should have gotten a bye.

Shocked

Does this mean we get to have a "Do-Over" of the tourney? Mr. Green

And if Azionite was chosen to replace Chrispis simply because he had the most votes out of the losers (I didn't check to see if that's true) then that would be silly. The most votes wouldn't necessarily mean the best losing entry. It could also mean he had the lightest competition.

If Azionite was chosen by Chrispis to replace him/her, then that doesn't seem very fair either.

Yep, DoaC.. Chrispis could not compete in the comp, so he emailed JMH and said that he wanted to drop out.

I had the most votes for a second place entry in Round 2, so JMH contacted me and asked if I wanted to take Chris' place. It was a decision made by more than just Chrispis and more than just JMH.

I think it was completely fair and by the book. Smile

The fact that Azionite toppled Anfa proves that he was an outstanding replacement for Chrispis.

Meh.

There should have been a vote among the 16 losers' entries to decide the spot.

So much for my bracketmaker competition. If I start changing earlier matches, it will screw up people's scores. It was nice while it lasted.

Maybe they have a function for adding in random people that were in the previous rounds. Guess I'll go look.

that makes no sense. you moved on based on votes. He got the most votes for a loser and thus, moved on into the opening.

we didnt need to vote again. it was already done.

It sucks that your brackets were messed up but I think they did what they thought was fair. I think they made a fair choice.

Was his the best losing entry? No.

Would he win if we had to vote between the 16 losers? No.

Therefor the way it was done makes no sense.

I think the leader after two rounds should be declared the Big Big Big Winner!
Cool
Where can I claim my prize?

Heh. Your prize is my congratulations. >_>

I think I may have gotten it to work though. Check the standings at 12:57 Eastern when it updates to see. Now there's two Chrispis in round 2 and 0 Azionites, but there is an Azionite in round 3. Sounds weird, but I think I made it work.
