I'm sure you have all heard the news right?

http://www.popphoto.com/photographynewswire/2772/reuters-pulls-doctored-photo.html

http://politics.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/08/07/211256&from=rss

This gives me an idea. Maybe this thread could be used to create some better photos for the newswire? Cool

didn't hear about it, but it surely makes you think of what is shown in the newspapers, doesn't it. Crappy editing too, haven't seen the images before, but I surely would have noticed it Rolling Eyes

Reminds me a bit of the photos from the train bombing in Spain (is it 2 years ago or so?)
Several newspapers used photoshopped images where scattered bodyparts were removed , claiming they didn't want to show the full harsh reality. (I leave it up to you to decide
wether such manipulation is right or wrong)

@mason: well he did get away with it at Reuters, if it it wasn't for littelegreenfootball, nobody would have noticed... Huh..

(From one of the articles)
"An immediate enquiry began into Hajj's other work.

It established on Monday that a photograph of an Israeli F-16 fighter over Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon and dated Aug 2, had also been doctored to increase the number of flares dropped by the plane from one to three.
"

I can see it now, some editor sitting there staring at the image...hmm, these flares look very similar...Hey Bob, isn't it odd how these flares all have the exact same spark in the same spot, identical smoke trails and all that?
Rolling Eyes

Another Massacre That Wasn't
More propaganda falls apart: Lebanon’s PM revises death toll from 40 to 1.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (CNN) — Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said Monday that one person was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern village of Houla, not 40 as he had earlier reported.

im seriously worring about the news now... Rolling Eyes Sad
