Hi would like to know what I'm doing wrong, I tried to upload a gif for today's contest, my entry night time, I down sized, saved optimized for the web and uploaded, but it is not working as a gif in the contest, even though it works fine on my computer. Can anyone give me an suggestions on how to correct this please? Thanks a lot for all your help and I really enjoy this site.

the spec's are different for .gifs

Q: What kind of image files can I enter?
A: In most contests images must be a JPEG or a GIF file. The size of the file must be under 125kb in actual size. JPEG image dimensions must be less than 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high. Animated GIFs must be less than 550 wide by 450 high. If you are getting an error message, try reducing the file size and/or dimensions just a bit and then uploading again.

gifs MUST be between 500x350 and 550x450 they cannot be larger or smaller than that. (you can always add a white or black background to make the file fit though)

also they must be no more than 512k (if you're advantaged)

other than that, there are no other restrictions, just make sure you're saving it as a .gif Wink

There's only one frame there. It's still a gif, just a stationary one.

thanks for your help, I have removed a couple of frames and I have managed to upload it now. I think so 'anyway because there is something wrong with my updates because I can only see the corrected version When I click on the image like I did last time. But everyone was seeing it as it should be. So thanks, I learn something new every day from this site.
I also wanted to say that although I'm not much of a chatter myself I really enjoy checking out the forums and chat room, so see you around guys.
