I totally agree with TheShaness, no need for a blur on the lady. The shadowing is giving enough depth...

I added the hair, desturated the horns a bit" copied the moon then use screen blending mode, added some more highlight with a circle, then added a 5 pixel stroke then blur 2.2 pixels, then I used the dodge and burn tools for more highlight and shadow" render lighting effects oval spotlight for outer shadow blend" just a few idea's" I hope it helps with some things to try" I'm still learning to so dont be afraid to give more tutorials peeps" Cool

Is the hair on it's own layer?
ya could open it in a separate psd..resize huge--draw quick highlights--resize down and pop it back in in a minute.

dsmn and thats why you use high res source folks...

ok ok ok

Err things to improve it...

well it would help if th grotesque lighting on the church matched the lighting on the person... and that ball of light is like its stuck on.. having no environmental effects...

Oh yes its glow pretty bright but apparently not bright enough to make an ounce of differnce to her clothing or natrual source shadow...

exaduration again but ya get the idea

for high res stock photo's, most are free" ~ (stock.xchng) it's all about what your tastes are, realistic, abstract, surreal, ect... I think this thread is for advice and feedback, we should keep it going though because people like to get some helpul critiques on their creations" ~ and tips from the masters" if they can humble themselves enough to share some secrets! Boy what a busy weekend I've had. Didn't forget about this though. I removed the moon as I liked the building the way it was. I also added some glow highlites to the horns. I also put some "moon glow" along the woman and upper edge of the horns. Not much in additional work but it's some improvement I think.

Having a speck of trouble getting my star field to work so I deleted it until I can get it right (practicing in another .psd).

I have to catch up on the thread to see the suggestions that have been put forth. Hopefully I'll get to do another update today yet. Otherwise it'll be tomorrow.

Keep the suggestions coming! My current .psd file is still out there for anyone who wants to play with it.

Also the full-size is on my DA account.
