Hello,

I am willing to learn the basics of 2D animation similar to this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s5lCLGjFDs&mode=related&search=

My question is what does it take to make the ad spot available for TV? Is there a software that delivers the final 2D animation both for the web and TV?

I also was impressed by this ad (my favorite ad ever):
http://www.epica-awards.org/assets/epica/2004/winners/film/flv/06037.htm

It is perfect all the way. It makes you realize how men can communicate so smartly. The song is just perfect, water coming from the rocks...

Thanks for helping

I'd almost lay money that the second one was done in Flash. Preliminary animations (vectors) could have been done in something else (i.e. Illustrator or Freehand) and then imported into Flash. But I didn't see anything there that couldn't all have been done in Flash.

Never used flash, but if the content is vector, it should be scalable to any format/size without loss of quality?

I'd be suprised if flash couldn't export to NTSC DV video at 29.97 frames per second at 720x480 pixels... or slightly different settings for PAL or SECAM settings. It should even be able to export in HD resolutions. Sadly, a tv picture doesn't have as much definition as you might think.

yes software that can deliver for tv...

Photoshop and imageready, flash, After effects, Final cut pro

Those would be the most notable..

It is mostly making your outputs for tv either the PAL setting or the more commonly used NTSC

flash 8 pro now works from mobile devices right up to H/D television, i often see ad's on telly and just know they were made in flash, but many of the big advertizing co's have custom built software for the job with every plug_in you can buy.
i dont know what version of flash is bundled with PSCS3, but i doubt it is the full flash 8 pro, so i'd say, GO PRO

PS, that second ad' was made in flash
PPS, this is my favorite ad, NOT made in flash Smile

to deliver content for the tv usually you go thru premiere or aftereffects or if you're rich or you're in the business you could buy an Avid station Razz

both those spots could have been made in flash then tweaked and prepared in aftereffects.

btw aftereffects= the photoshop of video, plus it's got a script part like flash's actionscript: it's called aftermath.
