Some of these look more like sales brochures than posters.

Mine looks like a poster! How about yours? Razz Wink

The only words on mine were www.photoshopcontest.com I've got a better one coming.

Oh what, a poster can't have more than a few words? Mine still is reasonable in the amount of words shown... Smile

8.5" x 11" is the perfect size for bulletin boards and telephone poles! And most people will be walking by--you have probably less than 10 seconds, on average, to get your point across and grab someone's interest.

I have no flippin clue of an idea for poster........yet.

8.5 by 11 inches is more like a flyer not a poster. agree?

I'm pretty sure the reason the image needed to be high res was so it could be blown up. Can we get a ruling?

Off topic? Perhaps, but if Mr. Negativity didn't say it, somebody else would have. Advertising the site as just plain FREE could be considered by some people to be misleading if chat is seen as the heartbeat of the site. I happen to agree with the both of you. I also happened to notice how neither of you mentioned the chat aspect of Mr. Negativity's statement, which leads me to believe that the contest parts of the site are the most important.

sure it's free, until you want to compete on the same playing field as the Advantage members

Huh?

A little more off topic...but what does not having Advantage have to do with competing against those that DO have it? Aside from the months worth of images...and early entries...if the chop is good, the votes will come. Advantage or not.

Right?

Exactly... just look at the recent win by Hero. Smile
