Hello. I animated the monument picture for a contest and when i saved it as a gif it doesn't play out like it should, but only shows the first frame. Did i save it wrong or is there something else?

What software are you using? ImageReady, Fireworks, GIMP, etc.?

sounds like a common imageReady problem,

might look drastic but you should do this everytime you edit a .gif

Are you hiding the layers not to be seen in the following frames?

Post Wed May 30, 2007 4:06 pm   Reply with quote

For example, in Image Ready have frame one only show the layer/s you want, then frame to show the layer/s you want, and so on.

Be sure to use the "Save Optimized As" function or Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S.

save optimized as....

final product.

The alloted file size is lower for gifs. Check the FAQ's for limits and either shrink down or cut out details.

Hmmm, not sure then. You might have to go a bit smaller, especially for avatars. The restraints are hella picky. Laughing
