CS2 wont open. I get this message: The application has failed to start because MSVCRT 10.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this.
Reinstalled and the problem is still there. Crying or Very sad
Please can someone help me??

I'm guessing MSVCRT 10.dll is not a photoshop file, but one photoshop does use... so some other app is missing that file....

Anyway, download here.. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcrt

More info- http://www.md4pc.com/questions/35.htm

That DLL is the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime if I'm not mistaken. CS2 was written in C++ and you can't run it without the runtime instructions. You probably got a virus, trojan, spyware, malware infestation that wiped out the original .dll file.

After you've downloaded the file (or searched your system to see if you've still got the file in another location on the drive) you'll need to re-register the dll so that XP recognizes it. Go to the Run item on the Start menu, and type:

"regsvr32 <path & filename of dll>" (without quotes)

So if you saved it to your C:\windows\system32 folder you'd put:

"regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\MSVCRT10.dll" (again without quotes).

Edit: Found this tidbit on Adobe:

Did you recently install a new plug-in?

I did install new plug-ins yesterday.
I was kinda thinking it was from that or the MS automatic updates caused the problem.

Since I'm having trouble starting a new thread I found this dead one to reply to. Anyway I'm having a problem with importing my photoshop files into indesign. I can import them, but when I go to print I lose some resolution. When I print directly from photoshop I get the clarity I need, but I lose my crop marks. This is incredibly frustrating. I got it to print from a photoshop pdf in acrobat with my crops so thats solved but does anyone know why Indesign drops my resolution?
