hey guys, basically i'm looking to build a website as sort of a hobby and maybe a source of income in the future. the site is pretty much going to be a collaboration of information and articles (properly cited of course) about running, martial arts, weight lifting, and general health. ill be drawing on personal experience not that ive been alive for very long but i have been running track/cross country for more than half my life along with jujutsu and weight lifting in more recent years.

anyway, now that the concept is explained i'm pretty much looking for some opinions on a color scheme for a website like this. i've looked up the meanings of different colors to try and help and so far im thinking of a green/black/white scheme. i find blue to be overused with sports sites however i do want it to be attractive.

i already have some logo designs made and a few articles written so basically once i get the layout finished ill be on my way.

i'd like to thank anyone before hand who has any suggestions

Use white as dominant colour, black for your lettering and place images in a thin frame, never as background on a page.
You want serenity as the overall feeling. Choose an easy font type, like the one used here on this website.

If you've got a logo then use either the colors from the logo or complementary colors to the logo's colors.

For a martial arts theme I'd personally go with reds, white, black and beiges with a 'tranquil' look. Too many martial arts sites are BAM harsh in your face style. I prefer mellow and professional to 80s looking cheese.

took your suggestion for the color scheme and revamped the logo. having problems posting the image however because i do not have enough posts on the forum lol
