Does anyone who reads this have the ability to make the changes, if everyone agree's this is what they want???? or is he even willing too?.....ie: the owner?

I think if everybody is agree to put 1 day anon without prize, the Boss will agree too???

Anon is great, but If your going to ask, ask for the best thing first...TutorMe's idea.IMHO

Oh, and do it as professional as possible, like with a real vote setup.(if votes matter)

I'm agreeing with tutorme's idea, and think that a separate thread with a poll would be real proof that there should be a real change. Here is my poll thread.

I'm not sure if you can still add a poll, but here's how you would. Edit the first post on this thread. At the bottom, there should be an option for a poll question, and possible answers.

Does that help? I have to go now though.

EDIT: Looks like padfoot has it covered. Thanks. VOTE PEOPLE!!

To you website tech people here-
Would it be very hard to add a button at contest entry submission asking if this entry would like to be submitted as anon? Would the whole idea be possible?? Making said button work right??

Eh, forget the first part, I'm sure it's not easy.

me too, I like to see comments, I would rather have contests without votes than without comments. I never knew what the fuss has always been about, seems to me most contests are pretty fair, I have as yet not seen one contest when I thought this did not deserve to win. I think people tend to make sure of that, when a really good entry is being held back for some reason many who do not seem to bother voting most of the time, tend to come to the rescue. I don't know maybe it is just me though, I always seem to see the glass half full maybe.

Many of us don't even look at the names, and
believe it or not, some of us want what votes we get without our names.

Tell people why you hate anon..go ahead tell them. That's
exactly why this should go through without discussion.
There's too many here that don't want a fair game, like you, and sometimes the majority is wrong. This is why yer constantly whining that other members send you flame e-mails.

Ok, we now know it's possible to set-up the site were you can choose to enter a contest without displaying your name,so... Some would choose not to use it, and some would use it.
It appears that the contests would stay the same, but 10 or so entrys would have hidden names. you would still see comments on those entrys, just not the person who entered it.
I don't like the idea of all anon contests all the time, but the above sounds ok too me. this is the last thing I'll say on this unless the owner asks if this is what we want.Right now it's just talk and the site being divided over it just isn't worth it.
