Could someone help me please? Confused

I want to make a gif/flash movie of about 10 minutes length for a friend of mine. I have no experience whatsoever with this!! Crying or Very sad
Can i use a gif animator, or are those only for short 'movies', and are there any decent freeware flash/gif animators?

thanks,
Jos

gif probably won't do you any good for a 10-minute movie, so flash sounds more reasonable.

when you say 'animation' - what kind do you have in mind?
why not any of the main video formats - avi, quicktime, mpg?

get hold of Granulated, he should know more

A .gif movie would be freekin huge, a 10 minute flash movie would be pretty big too, fly with flash every time, are you cutting it to disc or putting it on line?
free warez? i dont know if it's still free but swift was a pretty good free flash program and you can still get 30 day trial of flash, if you can do it, get 30 day flash mx 2004, then flash8 pro, and finaly flash cs3, 90 days free and the files you save from mx2004 will open in the next ect,
DID I TYPE ALL THAT?

Well for gifs if you're using PS then you have Imageready included.
But for size of overall a question if you use mac maybe think of combining pieces of gif or quicktime don't know about flash using Imovie.

Then you still can use photoshop/imageready to do the frame by frame work then with no audio. Can be saved as gif or Quicktime
then some free movie software to put them together and add audio. Such as:

looks like a Flash project to me. Most of it can be vector based which will save on the file size.
What about Toon Boom? or Bauhaus Mirage?

if you are saving to disc you dont have a problem, use imageready? dont be afraid of using the "delete animation btn" then the "make frames from layers" btn, scaeres the crap out of most learners, that's why they have so many skips in the animation, just do it

I think that imageready is definitely not you friend in this situation. If i was doing it id go with flash or after effects or try toon boom studio.
Just a note: 10 minutes = 600 seconds =14 400 frames at 24FPS in a (in my opinion) not so friendly animating environment.
Anyways, good luck Very Happy
