ok I understand that they are randomly selected for voting when they have been accepted but are u saying they are also randomly rejected? so no one actually decides what is good enough to go in for even a chance for the voting? that part i don't understand, is there no quality control?

You have had submitted 4 original images. Rolling Eyes
You have had 0 original images accepted and 0 rejected. is this stage really randon?
0 of your submitted images are currently in the voting queue.

If you click the Advantage link (after login, of course..) in the menu and then Source Images you'll find there's a small voting process going on.

That's how babies are made. Wink

Yes, there is. All images are approved or rejected for placement in the potential daily source pool, from which 5 random images are pulled for voting each day.

I've always wondered why winter/snow sources are used when the weather turns nice (for most of us) and spring/summery ones when the weather turns cold (again... for most of us). I always just put it down to the slowness of the system but it would be nice if the two jived more.

When i submitted one it took like 4-5 months to finally show in the choices. Shocked Very Happy

After you have submitted original photos as potential sources, you can look again at your "Submit Originals" link and see how many were rejected, how many are in the voting queue, and (eventually) how many were accepted. (It does not say which ones were rejected or added to the voting queue; something I've suggested before.) I would give it at least a week, even two weeks, to update before looking to see if a recent submission has been rejected or added to the voting queue.

Once it's in the voting queue, a photo may take seemingly FOREVER to show up as one of the choices for voting. And with the current system, we are only voting for which photo of those 5 choices to use next; the rest will return to the image pool for future source voting.

I've a question about stats...something I've never paid attention to.
In May, I posted 4 entries: Child's Play, Linger, Crafted & Good Clean Fun. According to the May stats, I posted 5 instead of 4.

Now...Vacancy, although made on May 11, was in the June 1 comp and has been attributed to the June stats as well.

so...is our stat system flawed? Are we getting dual credits for month ending posts?
