I haven't updated my website for quite a while, and now that I'm about to find a new job I thought some additions could be a good thing.

I ask you: Pick 2-3 of my entries (it's not that many Wink) that you think would catch the eye of an employer in the graphical/web/whatever design business. Keep in mind that they have not seen the original source (should I add a link to the source from my website perhaps?).

A small comment on each pick would nice, but not necessary.

Thanks. Smile

The Sabre http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/122937/the-sabre.html
and my fav, My First Potty http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/123057/my-first-potty.html

Good luck to you! I'm sure you have strong pieces from your other employment as well.

And, ppl, I can't stress this enough, get letters of recommendation NOW...even if you plan on working another 10 years in your current position. Nobody will fault you and it's your right to have them.

Would go for tp roadworks - Construction mice - my first potty.
I liked the sabre as well but I would stay away from pic's that could come across agressive. Doesn't work to well most of the times.

CHRS and good luck! Very Happy

Sure thing, good idea and good luck with the job search Ed.

Ok here we go.

Firstly this one because it shows nice manipulation and detail skill as well as nice standard PS skills to a high standard:

Then this one as it blew me away when I first saw it, and it has great modern style and layout to it in a graphical sense:

Ok and finally this one, because it has some great imagination on show and conveys you in a very creative light as well as showing off quality PS skills.... that and you beat me you bugger Wink Laughing

Great work you have done!
I personally like "go for the light" and "leafless". The one with the truck laying down the road is a given!!!

Thanks for your input, folks!

I forgot to tell you that The Sabre actually already is on my website. So no more votes needed Smile

A thought that hit me about Leafless and Wings: Is it such a good idea to use chops that include yourself in a portfolio, unless it's a thoroughly thought through self portrait. Rolling Eyes

The score so far (if I've counted correctly, that is):

4 Hatchboxes

3 Tp Roadsworks Co
3 My First Potty
3 Construction Mice
3 The Sabre

2 Leafless
2 Model Size Fire Truck
2 Reach

1 Wings
1 Al Dente
1 Lighthouse
1 Go for the Light
1 Anatomical Bronze
