I met Bernie Mac at the Comedy Club off Dazezaval road in San Antonio back in the mid 80s, he was a blue comic that would pack the house.

back then 50 people was considered a good night. Bernie was a regular in San Antonio at least every 60 days he had standing room only on most nights.
he never asked me for weed, I found that odd, I got high with 98% of the other comics. Belzer was to busy drinking all the free booze the club offered,
Bernie and Captain Rowdy would bring down the house with Blue material. The owner of club would not let me open for them he said I was to clean.


back then Richard Pryor would kick Jerry Seinfeld's ass.
This is day I can't seem to cope with since I still haven't gotten over pale face George Carlin...............

The news claimed he died from pneumonia.

Pneumonia is code for AIDS.

Honestly, I found most of his humor racist and offensive. Bernie Mac and comedians like him perpetuate stereotypes. Comedy that singles out any race as a punchline sets equality back another generation. Hopefully, A generation of hate died with him.
