possible helpful link on how to fix your mac and get anything needed to fix it your self... this is the site i used when i needed to upgrade my ram... but its very in depth just select your model of mac and its step by step hope it helps

Hey, thanks for the link, man! I'm pretty sure it had something to do with my logic board, and looking at that site, it would've cost me $100 more to fix it myself anyways. Next time though, I'll know for sure whether it'll be cheaper to just fix it myself.
Now that I think about it though, the extra $100 doesn't sound so bad for all the agony this has caused me.
