Ok I have a question for the non advantage users. So the question is....
Can we send an entry with resolution 600X800?
U know, same size and 90°CW rotation.

The limits for non-advantage are

Width: 500px min, 800px max
Height: 350px min, 600px max

You cannot submit a 600w x 800h image.

Your options for vertical images are:
- submit as 800x600 and ask the viewer to turn his/her monitor (of head) 90°
- resize the vertical image proportionally to 450w x 600h and add white (to match the site background) vertical posts on one or both sides to make it 500 x 600 (like this)

You know, I never understood the reasoning for this. Even for advantaged users, you can't submit vertically oriented images. What's up with this? I did a cursory seach in the forums, but couldn't find an answer.

It's seems like it would be a pretty simple fix though, right? I dunno, I'm not much of a server coder though. Wishful thinking, I guess.

The first time I see a 1200 pixel letter oriented image that I gotta scroll down to look at the bottom half is the last time I'll be looking.

I'm not sure exactly how it would be coded, but it could be done.

You would set it up something like...

if width is greater than height, the orientation is horizontal.
if it's not, the orientation is vertical.

if the orientation is horizontal, max width is 800, and max height is 600.
if the orientation is vertical, max width is 600, and max height is 800.

Shouldn't be too hard. Very Happy

or they put the max 800x800 and for the advantage users 1280x1280

But then the max file size would need to be increased. It's a struggle enough for non advantage members to fit everything in 112kb. Making the images bigger would make that even harder.
