I think the PSC's white background has become boring to look at.
We need more colors. I would love to see the site layout go
back to its earlier color scheme (see link below) but keep some
of its new functionality.

I like that layout a bit better than this current one. Agreed.

Some color....

....even if its only in the header area, footer or along
the sides would be an upgrade. Try some color schemes
from http://kuler.adobe.com/

Maybe some earth tones.

What I liked about the old layout was seeing the top 4 current contest entries. I think it encouraged voting and made the contest seem more dynamic and alive.

What caused the layout to change? The old one looked perfectly fine.

I've got a 22inch wide screen monitor set to 1680x1050. The PSC website only uses half the screen and sits in the center of my browser, with vastness of white on the sides. Why waste the space, there's plenty of room there to put some money generating tools. We need more ad banners. And where's that girl voice that says "CONGRATULATIONS, you have won a free iPod"

I can't believe DB has started this thread again.
Over and over and over and over again for years, and all the trouble it's caused every time.
See this thread? Not deleted. This is one of those reasons I say Proc needs to release the mod, and developer staff aside from
the actual coders, and get all new blood. AFTER writing a terms of service page, and sticking to it.

Yeah. The top 4 made me care more about the contests. Nowadays, I'll visit the main page and check the forums, but if I'm not actively competing in a contest, I'm not that inclined to go and check out the entries.
