First: I was really anxious to see all the entries and vote, I appreciate what you all folks did in second round. Wink

Second : With that source image plus my poor chopping skills I probably would do nothing Shocked

Third: Don't get so excited about the comments.

Fourth:
Source image sucked!

NOOO! My source image does not suck! It's 10x better than those flower images we have every week...it was not a easy photo, but it did not suck!

Ok so does anybody know why Blurker is in the hospital? I hope nothing serious...
He has a loser's lounge to run!!

Am I the first to say that I thought it was a great source? So many potential ideas. Even though there are a ton of similar entries, they are all different in their own ways, and there are much better chops this round than last, which makes me think I'm not the only one who enjoyed the source.

I concur with the youngun'. I thought the source was really cool and I had a bunch of ideas.... Then I remembered that

1. I was out after round 1
2. I still suck at chopping

Laughing

Maybe we should list out the ideas we had? Glenn had several ideas that I would have loved to see done
a baseball hit so hard that the cork was exposed.
A rotten peach and pit eaten by a catepillar.
The tin man off of Return to Oz, the man that needed to be wound up to run.

Others I had:
    mechanical heart implant
    head of a war club
    alien weapon
using the "gears" to create a surreal factory scene

Why can't there be something as simple as "Go check out the H2H" link on the front page so more people will stop by and check out the entries and vote. This wouldn't require a complete front page facelift to do? If I was a casual visitor of the site I wouldn't know it was even happening.

Every time I look a new source picture I throw out the first 20 things that come to mind knowing that someone else will have the same idea. I took the gamble on this one since it is H2H and went with my first thought even though I knew there others would have the same idea. I guess I lucked out because my competition also entered a cliché chop.
The question is which came first the planet or the egg?

Still alot comes down to skills .. if a chop is maybe cliche but very well executed ... then it will win

The trick ... also in regular contests ... is to think outside the box ... but with the pressure of the H2H and only 2 evenings of chopping it's better to do a cliche chop very well then use allot of time thinking outside the box and not getting it done ...
