Heard of The Twittering Office Chair?

Seems this guy made a chair that posts tweets every time .... well just read it and see for yourself.

Start here and read the week's worth. Wink Unshelved takes place in Mallville Public Library. Yes. Library humor. Yes, it will help answer some of your curiosity... and maybe add to it. That week's worth of comics plus a couple of friends spurring me on got me on to Twitter.

(Hoping they don't mind my, um, "sharing" their bandwidth... from March 11:)

I feel like Twitter basically just took the "Status" aspect of Facebook and turned it into a website.

I still don't get it. Confused What do you do when you tweet. What do you write?

Whatever you like.

Think of it as...well...it's kinda like a small blogging thingie...you're limited to 140 characters...but you post links or thoughts or pics...and then you follow people that you find interesting to see what they are posting...people follow you to read your posts...in some ways...it can be used as a mini-chat...kinda.

I like it. Met some interesting people. It's gotten me a couple of freelance gigs. And once you get addicted to it it's actually kinda fun.

Most of my posts are about Evie. I also "tweeted" about the H2H... and this thread. Wink All comments have to be 140 chars or less.

Some people never comment. They just join to follow others.. there are lots of celebs on Twitter.

Some use it more as a "chat"... which I do, too.

Some use it to "network" for professional contacts or social contacts.

Etc, etc, etc... we're all TWITS there. Wink

I do think some people take it WAY too seriously. But you can make of Twitter pretty much whatever you want to. Smile

Laughing Nothing.
You write whatever thoughts pop into your little head.
Its like that random weird person you know that is always giving too much information, talking about their hemorrhoids and stuff; But for the whole world to see.

"WOOHOO! TIE GAME!"

Sorta like that. On Twitter, you'll have to either have been following me enough to know what the heck I'm referring to, or you'll have to click on my profile and back-read to find out.

A lot of people may find some interest in what you choose to say... just don't let yourself believe any of them care. Laughing

I've found it interesting to see how many followers I get when I "tweet" about certain things, and I actually do sort of "test" keywords... and how quickly those "followers" fall to the wayside again when the topic changes. I do like seeing updates from friends I have on PSC who tweet, but I'll likely not keep up my tweeting much in the long run... for my purposes, I think it'll be a short-lived amusement. But we'll see.

Some people, like DP and Grefix, get help or jobs or such with the networking.
