I have been doing 3D carving artwork in acrylic for many years and sold them through a couple of art galleries/stores. The galleries were owned by the same gentleman, but he has passed away and the galleries have closed. They were able to sell whatever I produced, so I never looked for other outlets. I put one piece up on etsy.com and would appreciate if you would check it out. If anyone has other ideas for where to sell I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!

That one took about 15 hours to carve. The price I have on etsy.com is the price I would have sold wholesale to the galleries (they purchased them outright, not commission). They would have doubled it for retail sale. My problem is...a photo does not do the work justice. There is no way to capture the experience of holding it in your hand and turning it around and upside down and sticking your fingers into the carving and seeing that the subject is what is taken away. Folks are always amazed at the caves....try to envision a cave with steps going up into it carved in reverse. True science fiction lovers practically have an orgasm.

Nice tooling Gort, I'd ask around on 'Deviant Art' for their suggestions as to where to sell these little beauties.

But in the meantime, make the 'hand holding the cube' image the Hero Shot... It gives the carving a sense of scale.
Try some new photography shots and experiment with more dramatic lighting, these existing shots are very pedestrian.

I think that the cube would have a greater WOW Factor Look!!!! if it was placed on a bottom lit *Light Table!
(*The Pro Photographer's translucent perspex table-top for pack shots, commonly called the 'S' Board).

Good Luck

Wiz
