That is FANTASTIC! I agree with your dad 110% It is true and sometimes can be very hard to gain the trust back. In the long run it was very fulfilling to know that I was able to help them live a good life.

How I hate those small bastards... Barking piece of fur
As Jeff Dunham said: "Something that is shaking and jumping while barking is not a dog"

We have a dwarf hamster. Here she sits in her feeding dish. She always turns her back towards you and starts stuffing. After that she runs home to hide the food.
Here we wanted to clean her cage, but had to wait first until she gathered her hidden food.
That's her (1.5 year ago)

Now thaaat's cute. At least she seems somewhat smart. I had a small rodent once that buried all of it's food... but didn't eat any of it.
He died.

I actually don't have him anymore, but this is the ONE dog that i actually really really liked.
I got him when he was five years old from the pound. He had chronic bronchitis at the time and sneezed and snotted eeevveryywhere.. but he was the most well behaved and friendly dog I'd ever had the pleasure of owning.

He looks like a happy dog in the photo. Do you have any pets now?
