well, now i have a problem perhaps someone can help me with. as i said i have cs4, well for some reason in the last couple of minutes something has changed and now i cannot adjust the hardness of any brushes. the slider will move and show a different percentage, but nothing will actually change. all brushes are 100% hard. any suggestions, or is PS just happy to see me? Idea

A) quit Photoshop

B) shut down and then restart computer

C) restart Photoshop

Still not working?

D) Go find your Photoshop PREFERENCE FILE and trash it and repeat A ~ C again.

Still not working? Let us know and we'll continue helping you with this.

i've tried both. well do you mean to reset the pref's withing PS or an actual pref's file in the adobe folder in my C drive? i did look and there is none

In case anyone ever has the same problem i did, i figured out a good way to fix it. this presumably only works in windows, though i dont really know.
simply hold ctrl+alt+shift and open photoshop!
yeah. thats it. i'm an idiot HA
