These few weeks I was listening:
Cotton Jones - Paranoid Cocoon,
Bill Callahan - Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle
Animal Collective - Fall Be Kind

Thanks sirenka! Smile

I enjoyed Bill Callahan.
His voice makes me think of Matt Berninger (The National) and Leonard Cohen. Nice!

OK Some new local music.

The new The Besnard Lakes is just fantastic. Definitively their best album.
Deep, powerful... one of the best indie rock band.
You can listen to the whole album, search "The besnard lakes are the roaring night" here: http://www.musicme.com/

An amateur video shot in Japan with one of the best song...

And another local band, Misteur Valaire.
Not crazy about it, but they are a bunch of original funny young jazzmen who started to play
groovy electro jazz.

Some videos...

Yes....Great album!!.....I love the Boxer album, but I'm almost to think'n High Violet is better. They've broadened their sound more... Some pretty BIG soundings on this album.

I love Boxer too.
I think I definitively have to buy High Violet. Thanks!! Very Happy

And yes BC, the last Broken Social Scene is one of their best albums.

Another local band... Clues.
First I read a very positive critic about their first album... he said one of the best album of last year.
I listen to it 3-4 times... I was indifferent to it and I forgot it for a couple of months.
I came back to it recently... and now I'm addicted! Shocked

Well!? Fµ©k! YEAH!!! Cool
It was a "surprise show". I heard about it at 11AM. I was surprised when I arrived at 6PM... there was about only 30 fans already waiting. Before the show at 8PM there was more than 10,000 fans. Well, it is simple... this is the best live show you can see!

News from CTV...
"Montreal-based indie rock band Arcade Fire staged a free concert Wednesday night at the Place Longueuil parking lot, delighting the thousands of fans who showed up at the shopping mall for the surprise show. The free show created a buzz after it was announced at the last minute.

"It's probably the most exciting thing Longueuil has seen in awhile," said one fan.

The south shore location for the concert was inspired by Arcade Fire's latest album, called "The Suburbs"."

Some pictures I took...
