It was a "surprise show". I heard about it at 11AM. I was surprised when I arrived at 6PM... there was about only 30 fans already waiting. Before the show at 8PM there was more than 10,000 fans. Well, it is simple... this is the best live show you can see!

Hey Paul! Long time.....

Yeah...I've listened quite a bit to that album. She has one of those unique voices...all her own. The song she did with Royksopp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLpkXtM-VI8 is great also. Helluva video too.

Hi Paul! Long time no see! Cool

Yeah, daily for 10 days... surprising! Surprised
My wife contacted Joseph Arthur's manager last April... she went to see his last show and she was authorized to make live videos.
She's still in contact and will try to do something different (not necessarily live show) with JA when he's back in town.
Here's her video clips...

She also have a project of music-video with Nils Petter Molvaer the same week...

BTW, Gorillaz... great animation... love Stylo video. Not their best music but very good! Thanks Paul! Smile

So, the link for Beast live video isn't so good. I thought there was the integral show in HD. And the sound sucks... Argh

Anyway, the show was great. I think there was close to 100,000 people. The visuals & stage setting was very nice.
I took some pictures...

A friend of mine is starting up again on his music hobby writing instrumentals. I don't know if you can get to this link but if you can then it may be nice to listen.

He asked that I try to do lyrics for one of them... I can't record for carp but this is what I came up with. I butchered the sound so you may have to max it out just to hear it.

The lameness increases as this post moves forward.

Again, really good shots Claude Wink

Smashing Pumkins have a new album out, you can download the entire work here for free, it's OK, nothing earth shattering, I like "Astral Planes" they're playing at a local dive here tonight, it was sold out immediately, I may try to see if I can snag a ticket at the door, I got 2 tickets for Robert Plant on the 31st, I can't wait. Cool

Hey, Paul!

Sad really....Smashing Pumpkins..... pretty much lost their "punch" after Siamese Dream and hell..Corgan's the only one left.Yeah...sure...it's good to hear a band evolve and move with the times (who really wants to hear a band simply regurgitate their previous work) but in their case, not so good. I think Billy Corgan pulled out all his chops on the first 2 albums(most of'm on Gish)....pooped himself out.....after that well, ........................Ok I spose there are a few on Mellon Collie that I like but...... I still think Gish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc__oUqoPu8&feature=related was one of the most underrated albums of the 90's. That album was Smashing Pumpkins.

Now ,Robert Plant...live.....that I'd like to see.

You know what Paul? After the first contact in April, Kyoka (my wife) contacted and met Joseph Arthur and his manager again few times during the Jazz Fest. She worked very hard to convinced them for a "one take video" outdoors at a quiet location... not a live show. They finally accepted... she had few takes of one new song! Excellent shots... now she edits her work with the original track from his upcoming CD. I'll let you know and show you when everything is done.
Cool

I discovered few new stuff...
I'll start with this... Los Campesinos...
